Balance Front and Rear
Always adjust both front and rear aero. Too much imbalance, and your car can feel twitchy at high speeds. A common baseline is 40% front / 60% rear downforce, but this depends on your car’s weight distribution. Lighter fronts may need a slightly higher front percentage.
Cornering vs. Speed
- Circuit Racing: Maximize front aero to sharpen turn-in and plant the rear with high rear downforce. Your car will feel glued through corners.
- Speed Traps / Sprints: Reduce both front and rear aero toward the “Speed” setting to minimize drag and hit higher top speeds.
Downforce presses the car into the ground, adding “virtual weight” at high speed. Stiff springs help prevent bottoming out. If your suspension is too soft, max aero can actually slow you down on fast tracks.
Expert Fine-Tuning Tips
Fix High-Speed Understeer
If your car won’t rotate in fast corners, increase front aero. If it still understeers, slightly reduce rear aero to shift balance forward.
Fix High-Speed Oversteer
If the back slides out at speed, increase rear aero. If it’s maxed, decrease front aero to keep the rear planted.
The “Zero Aero” Strategy
